Job Summary
Provide independently delivered nursing care in the Emergency Room on a per diem basis, utilizing the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Lead and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel, collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, and contribute to safety and high-quality patient experiences. Requires active IL nursing licensure, NLN-accredited RN education with BSN preferred, BLS/ACLS/PALS (NIHSS active), and at least two years of acute care ED telemetry experience. Night shift with variable hours per six-week schedule across Evanston, Glenview, Highland Park, and Skokie.
Required Qualifications
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing; BSN strongly preferred
- BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification for the Healthcare Provider; NIHSS certification active
- Minimum two years of recent acute care ED experience; Telemetry competence; Telemetry test within 14 days of hire
