Job Summary
Registered Nurse (Emergency Room) role at Mission Hospital (HCA Healthcare). The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team, utilizing nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. Responsibilities include assessing patient pain and promoting effective pain management, performing procedures and documenting care, responding promptly to patient needs, and educating patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up. Requires emergency/ER nursing competencies and adherence to department-specific standards. Required Qualifications
- RN license or eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
- ACLS certification or instructor credential
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or equivalent
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour within 1 year of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start date
- PALS Instructor or equivalent preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred or as specified by department
