Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room: Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner within Williamson Health’s Emergency Department. Requires Tennessee nursing licensure, BLS within 90 days of hire, and appropriate certifications (ACLS, PALS, TNCC/ENPC, NVCI, TNCC/TNCC equivalents as applicable) within specified timeframes. Role involves adult and pediatric emergency care with telemetry and high-acuity patient care delivery, documentation, patient teaching, discharge planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Work environment includes an adult ED and pediatric ED/telemetry units, with equipment such as Telemetry, Omnicell, and Pneumatic Tube System. Minimum 1 year emergency experience preferred for Adult ED and Pediatric ED pathways; additional unit-specific certifications may be required within defined hiring windows. Location: Arrington, Tennessee.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- For 3rd floor telemetry unit: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
- For float pool and float pool extended: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; NVCI certification within 6 months of hire
- For critical care: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; NVCI certification within 6 months of hire; AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
- For Oncology: ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- For Adult Emergency Room: At least one year of emergency experience preferred; TNCC Preferred; ACLS within 6 months of hire; PALS within 6 months of hire; NVCI certification within 6 months of hire
- For Pediatric Medical Surgical: At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred; PALS within 6 months of hire; NVCI certification within 6 months of hire
- For Pediatric Emergency Room: At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred; PALS within 6 months of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; NVCI certification within 6 months of hire; ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire
