Job Summary
Assess, intervene, and advocate for patients in the Emergency Department across trauma, cardiology, obstetrics, medicine, and psychiatry. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing care while managing diverse emergencies. Maintain current experience in an Emergency Program and complete required training including Code White, ACLS, BCLS, and Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia. Work all shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays as a part-time position. Maintain a regular attendance record and demonstrate crisis intervention skills within a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Certificate of Registration in good standing
- Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Two years of current experience in an Emergency Program
- Current experience in a hospital environment
- Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia certificate
- ACLS
- BCLS
- Code White Training
- Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent problem solving and crisis intervention skills
- Proven dedication to an interdisciplinary team approach
- Ability to work in a fast-pace environment
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
- All required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada
- Applicable criminal record check
