Job Summary
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (per diem) providing direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced ED, performing triage, head-to-toe assessments across pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients, and adjusting nursing care as indicated. Responsibilities include communicating with physicians, Nurse Manager/Director, and team Members about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results; participates in hiring of staff; responds quickly to changes in patient condition; focuses on pain management and patient/family education. Requires ED experience and active RN license; certifications due within stated timelines. Per diem, flexible schedule with opportunities for full-time/part-time growth within UHS subsidiaries.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years ED experience required
- Current RN license within the state of practice
- Current BCLS Certification
- ACLS Certified within six (6) months of hire
- PALS within six (6) months of hire
- ENPC and TNCC optional
