Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides patient care using the nursing process, ensures patient rights and confidentiality, coordinates care with other departments, and maintains professional accountability in alignment with Mercy Service Standards. Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nursing care, participating in care planning, and contributing to outcomes through adherence to clinical certifications and department requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Licensure: Active RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure where duties are performed
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications as required by position
