Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you'll be responsible for ongoing patient assessment, crisis management, education, and supporting department operations. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical experience, particularly in a fast-paced ED environment, and must hold a valid New York State nursing license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS Nursing Licensure
- Minimum 1-year med / surg experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS/BLS certification
- TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred
- Prior ED or Critical Care experience
- Basic Coronary Care Course within 8 months of employment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to function as a member of a team
- Flexibility required to work varied shifts including weekends and holiday rotation
