Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department provides direct and indirect holistic patient care, collaborates with physicians and the health care team, and may delegate aspects of care within nursing practice. Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient and family assessment, planning and implementing care, developing short- and long-term goals, ensuring a safe environment, educating patients and families, communicating with the health care team, supervising delegated care, administering medications/treatments safely, and maintaining current knowledge in practice. Requires an ADN/ASN or Diploma in Nursing, BLS/CPR, and RN licensure, with expectation to obtain BSN within 5 years. Preference for professional organization membership and specialty certification.
