Job Summary
Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments, develop individualized plans of care including discharge planning, and administer medications safely. Recognize and respond to emergencies, carry out physician orders accurately, and evaluate patient responses to revise care plans. Supervise and delegate tasks to team members, serve as a clinical resource for staff training, and function in relief charge roles. Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to departmental standards while supporting professional development through BSN attainment and specialty certifications. Work PRN shifts varying from 6 AM to 6:30 PM, 2 PM to 2 AM, or 6 PM to 6:30 AM in a collaborative emergency department environment at TriHealth.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs a various stages of the life cycle
- RNs with more than 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time acute care experience
