Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care following established policies and protocols while implementing, monitoring, and recording patient care plans. Coordinate multidisciplinary care, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess patient discharge planning with the healthcare team. This role requires a registered nurse with one year of acute care experience and mandatory Advanced Life Support and BLS certifications. Schedule includes multiple shifts of 36-48 hours per week across various Ascension acute care hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted for Advanced Life Support
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted for BLS Provider
- Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- One year of RN experience in an acute care setting
