REGISTERED NURSE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Plan, provide, and direct patient care and teaching in the 52-bed Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families while collaborating with other health care members. Assist in the orientation process of new personnel and participate in health center and department committees. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age groups according to specific chronological age, developmental age, and/or psycho-social maturity. Work half-time night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekends every third week, 48 hours biweekly, with no call or rotating shifts.
