Job Summary
Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, documenting physical, psychological, and risk-screen data appropriate for the patient's age. Develop and document individualized plans of care, revising them based on ongoing evaluations. Communicate assessment findings and care plans with the interdisciplinary team while complying with safety and medication protocols. Complete at least one clinical research utilization form annually using a recent U.S. research article. Maintain Basic Life Support certification and complete mandatory in-services and health screens. Work nights (11p-7a), every other weekend, and holidays at Unity Hospital's Emergency Center in Rochester, with a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse license in New York State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 6 months RN experience
- AAS in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year experience in the specialty hired into
- BS in Nursing
- M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- 6 months of acute care experience preferred
- demonstrated clinical and leadership skills
- preceptor and/or charge experience
- expanded leadership role (charge, preceptor, mentor)
