REGISTERED NURSE-Emergency Department RN

Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department at Bridgeport Hospital within the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS). Provides patient-centered care guided by ANA Standards of Practice and YNHHS values, practicing nursing within CT Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching, and evaluation; collaborates with patients, families, and health-care teams to promote safe, holistic care. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program; CT RN licensure; current BCLS certification (or obtain within one month of hire); BSN preferred; clinical specialty certification highly encouraged; familiarity with SPIRE clinical advancement program; ability to work in a setting emphasizing ethics, cultural congruence, leadership, and evidence-based practice.
