Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Mayo Clinic with a Nurse Residency Program for new grads. Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care; leadership through preceptor and informal roles; participates in planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care within the Mayo Nursing Care Model; delegates based on skill and patient needs; requires excellent communication and mentoring abilities and involvement in quality improvement efforts. Role supports TN sponsorship and requires state licensure and VisaScreen or equivalent certification; orientation program provided to new hires.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license (state licensure)
- VisaScreen or equivalent certification for TN sponsorship
- TN sponsorship eligibility
- Recent graduate RN with <12 months of practice (nurse residency program enrollment)
