Conduct acute inpatient patient care in the emergency department, performing assessments, developing individualized plans of care, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. Monitor patient status, validate goals, and provide direct care while adhering to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory requirements. Evaluate plan effectiveness, document progress, and communicate changes to peers and providers during shift reports. Manage discharge planning and patient education to ensure continuity of care. Variable schedule may include weekends, holidays, and on-call work.
