Job Summary
RN - Emergency Department in Elmhurst/Naperville, IL nights. Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Responsibilities include assessing patient condition, planning and evaluating care, monitoring progress, delegating appropriate tasks to staff, and functioning as a team member to meet unit goals. Requires 1+ year ED experience and RN licensure in Illinois. Education paths include BSN or ADN with requirement to complete BSN within five years if ADN highest, ACLS/PALS and NIHSS within specified windows, CPR certification, and other stated certifications. Hours are 7:00pm-7:00am with every third weekend and rotating holidays; full-time position, 36 hours/week. Required Qualifications
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS within three months of start date
- PALS within three months of start date
- Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date
