Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in an emergency department setting, including initial assessments, developing care plans, administering medications, and evaluating patient responses. Responsibilities include promoting patient safety and rights, coordinating with healthcare teams, and documenting patient care accurately. Candidates must have an Associate Degree in Nursing, a valid state nursing license, and certifications in ACLS and BLS. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and additional certifications in emergency care tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree Nursing from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing in the State of Kansas
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 180 Days
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days
Desired Qualifications
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) within 180 Days
- Fetal Heart Monitor (AWHONN, ETC.) - Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) within 1 Year
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
