Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients in the Emergency Department using the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation and collaboration while managing time, supplies, and resources to coordinate patient care delivery. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise care plans based on clinical outcomes and satisfaction data. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. Requires six months of Emergency Department experience, a current RN license, and BLS certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Six months of licensed RN experience in an Emergency Department
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • BSN must be obtained within four years of hire date for RNs with less than 12 months of experience

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) obtained from an accredited institution
