Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients in the Emergency Department using the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation and collaboration while setting priorities to coordinate patient care delivery. Collaboratively develop individualized plans of care with patients, families, and physicians, including education and referrals. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise care plans as needed. Provide accurate and timely documentation while complying with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. Requires six months of licensed RN experience in an Emergency Department, a current state license, and BLS certification. BSN required for hires after April 27, 2025. Full-time, 36-hour week with mid and night shift availability at Lutheran Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of licensed RN experience in an Emergency Department
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Full time, 36 hours/week, mid shift & night shift availability
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
