Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients in the Emergency Department using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct care teams through delegation and coordination while prioritizing patient needs, managing resources, and ensuring accurate documentation. Collaboratively develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and physicians, including education and referrals. Maintain legal and ethical standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and provide timely communication during high-acuity situations. Requires six months of ER RN experience and a BSN. Full-time mid and night shift availability at Lutheran Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of licensed RN experience in an Emergency Department
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Full time, 36 hours/week, mid shift & night shift availability
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
