Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the physical, social, and psychological status of patients in the Emergency Department using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration to manage patient care delivery, set priorities, and organize resources. Collaboratively develop individualized plans of care with patients, families, and physicians, including education and referrals, while ensuring accurate and timely documentation. This full-time role at Lutheran Medical Center requires six months of licensed RN experience in an Emergency Department and a BSN. The position includes mid-shift and night-shift availability, 36 hours per week, and an hourly range of $37.45 to $57.29.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of licensed RN experience in an Emergency Department
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
