Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." Serve as an advocate for patients and families while assessing pain regularly and performing procedures ordered by medical providers. Document care administration timely and thoroughly, responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs proactively. Teach patients and caregivers about medical conditions, treatments, medications, lifestyle changes, and follow-up measures to prepare them for self-management. Requires 1 year of experience, an Associate or Bachelor's degree, and completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Cour, Neonate Resuscitate, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, PALS, and Trauma Nursing Core Course within specified timelines. Works night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
