Job Summary
Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, utilize the nursing process to care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients experiencing acute and chronic health changes. Assume Clinical Manager responsibilities as requested or in preparation for Level II advancement. Work flexible schedules including weekends in a typical acute care setting, handling patients with wide-ranging medical and surgical problems. Requires full range of body motion for patient handling, extensive standing and walking, and working under stressful conditions with exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or will obtain prior to working as a RN as evidenced by primary source verification
- Current Georgia RN or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria professional licensure or will obtain prior to beginning work as a RN
- American Heart Association BLS CPR
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
- One year of experience in an acute health care setting preferred
- Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia
- Required to work flexible schedule including weekends
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Requires working under stressful conditions
- Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
