Job Summary
Registered Nurse (Emergency Department) in the Northwestern Medicine system providing direct, clinically competent care to acutely ill patients. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, coordinating care delivery, directing care with any nursing assistants, collaborating with patients, families, physicians and ancillary staff, documenting outcomes, and using evidence-based practice to guide decisions. Requires BSN (or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years), current IL RN license, and BLS. Strong communication, collaboration, and analytic skills are essential; opportunities exist in the Emergency Department and Pediatric ER with specified preferences for advanced certifications and trauma/pediatric specialties. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role
