Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department by assessing patient conditions, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, and monitoring progress. Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff and function as a team member to fulfill unit goals. Maintain licensure and certifications including ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS within three months of start date. Work evenings from 1:00pm to 1:00am with rotating weekends and holidays. Earn hourly pay ranging from $36.00 to $55.80 based on expertise and experience. Join Endeavor Health's eight acute care hospitals serving over 4.2 million residents across northeast Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or higher in Nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (if Associate Degree is the highest degree held)
- 1+ years' experience in the emergency department unit
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date into position
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date into position
- Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date into position
