Job Summary
This Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Department involves ongoing assessment, crisis intervention, and patient education. Candidates must hold a valid NYS Nursing Licensure and have a minimum of 1-year med/surg experience. Skills in crisis management and facilitating discharge plans are essential. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications include ACLS/BLS certification and prior ED or Critical Care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NYS Nursing Licensure
- Minimum 1-year med/surg experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS/BLS certification
- TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred
- Prior ED or Critical Care experience
- Basic Coronary Care Course within 8 months of employment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to function as a member of a team
- Flexibility required to work varied shifts including weekends and holiday rotation
