Job Summary
Collects comprehensive health data using age-appropriate, culturally sensitive practices to prioritize patient flow and expedite those requiring immediate care. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses, identifies individualized outcomes, and coordinates education to promote a safe practice environment. Evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes while demonstrating leadership in professional settings. Applies evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to Emergency Nursing, ensuring care is delivered based on patient age-specific and clinical needs described in the department's Scope of Service. Works in a constant state of alertness and performs other duties as assigned. Minimum requirements include 2 shifts per month including one weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
