Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (60 hours per pay period)

Job Summary
Conduct direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Manage patient care plans via computerized documentation covering admission, discharge, medication, and intake/output. Lead and supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and Health Unit Coordinators as needed. Perform emergency interventions such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP protocols while maintaining safety protocols and reporting incidents. Act as a patient advocate by communicating needs to resources and agencies. Train new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Work variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota
- At least 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Department
- Successful completion of a criminal background check as required by the State of Minnesota
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
