Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through assessment, planning, and execution of treatment services in the emergency department. Administer medications, complete reconciliation processes, and document narcotic withdrawals and discrepancies per policy. Develop and update prioritized plans of care, initiate admission assessments within eight hours, and facilitate discharges by noon while communicating barriers via the chain of command. Verify patient identification, comply with CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and respond to hospital codes. Collaborate with patients and families to represent their needs, address ethical concerns, and utilize interpreter services. Work 36 hours weekly from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
- Preferred Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
