Job Summary
Emergency Department leadership role providing direction and coordination of unit staffing during weekend night shifts. Responsible for assigning, directing, educating, and monitoring nursing and support staff; participating in performance evaluations; coordinating patient care assignments to ensure population-appropriate care; collaborating with advanced practice providers to maintain quality outcomes; assessing daily patient care needs and addressing issues affecting patient outcomes; handling patient care complaints through established channels; involvement in hiring, training, and staff development; maintaining a high level of alertness and adherence to safety protocols. Requires RN licensure in IL (and/or compact licensing), graduation from an accredited nursing program, and current certifications including BLS, ALS/ENPC/NRP/PALS/TNCC/ENPC Essentials, with multi-state licensure consideration as applicable. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- One year of registered nurse experience
- State of Work Location: Illinois RN license (IDFPR) or Compact state RN license
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS HCP) - AHA
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - AHA or ENPC - ENA or NRP - AAP or PALS - AHA or TNCC - ENA or NRP Essentials - AAP
- State of Work Location: Missouri RN license (or compact state) or RN issued by compact state
- State of Work Location: Oklahoma RN license or equivalent
- State of Work Location: Wisconsin RN license or equivalent
- Ability to meet required professional licenses and certifications across multiple states as listed
