Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment at the Emergency Care Center, adhering to the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. Maintain certifications including Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke PSA/ACE, and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention, while completing the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within one year of orientation. Hold a Florida Registered Nurse License and possess basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program
- Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN)
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke PSA/ACE
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support/CPR (BLS)
- FL Registered Nurse License
- Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
