Job Summary
Nurse Educator in the Emergency Department plans, develops, and evaluates educational programs for nursing staff and students, mentors staff, and ensures regulatory compliance and patient safety; participates in committees; delivers orientation and continuing education in classroom and unit settings; maintains competency monitoring, and contributes to evidence-based practice across hospital units while remaining current with latest nursing research.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in NY State
- BSN or MSN preferred
- AHA BLS and/or ACLS Instructor certification (preferred)
- Certification in area of specialty (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years in area of specialty
