Registered Nurse Educator - Cath Lab/EP/IR - Full Time - Days - Utica, NY

Assess educational needs of nursing staff, students, and others to plan and deliver orientation and continuing education. Mentor staff and monitor/evaluate clinical competencies to assure highest quality outcomes and safety. Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for staff, the hospital, and the community, including classroom instruction and unit in-service programs. Identify orientation needs of new employees, plan individualized training, and document progress toward competency. Conduct classes, develop course outlines, and investigate concerns of nursing practice while keeping current in the latest research. Participate in committees to facilitate evidence-based care implementation and develop standards of nursing care practice. Works a minimum of one 8-hour shift per month as a direct care RN on an assigned floor to maintain current patient care techniques.
