Job Summary
Plan, design, and evaluate clinical educational programs, nurse mentoring initiatives, and in-services while delivering and modifying course curriculum. Conduct training across Idaho facilities, including travel to outlier sites and potential shift coverage during critical staffing vacancies. Maintain CPR and BLS instructor certifications and secure required background checks and clearances. This full-time day role supports the Idaho Department of Correction's regional team in Boise, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree and three years of education experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho or ability to obtain one
- Three (3) years of experience in training and education
- Ability to design, prepare, deliver, and modify course curriculum and associated aids
- Knowledge of nursing education and clinical theory and practice
- Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
- Appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be available to travel throughout the state to other facilities
- Must be available to fill an available shift at another facility in the event of a critical staffing vacancy
- Available Shift: full-time days Monday - Friday
- Candidate must live in the Treasure Valley area
