Job Summary
Assess and prioritize patient needs in emergency situations, administer treatments, and perform life-saving procedures while managing crises and coordinating with medical professionals. Document patient information and provide emotional support to patients and families, requiring quick decision-making and the ability to handle high-pressure situations. Maintain current AHA BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications, with preferred experience in trauma or neonatal resuscitation. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, demonstrating physical stamina and emotional stability. Eligible for evening/night shift incentives and performance-based bonuses, with tuition reimbursement and flexible scheduling available.
Required Qualifications
- License to practice in the State of Illinois
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS certification
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Red Cross PALS
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Red Cross ALS
- Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical stamina
- Emotional stability
- At least one year previous experience in clinical unit
- START/JumpStart (must obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer)
Desired Qualifications
- Emergency Communication Registered Nurse (ECRN)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
