Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the Emergency Department. Maintain professional accountability for care provision and coordinate patient care with other departments while evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Maintain a current RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Requires ability to push, pull, or lift 50 lbs and prolonged standing and walking during shifts. Work Monday and Thursday nights, part-time 24 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
