Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive emergency department nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients and families. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, complete timely documentation, and partner with patients to set care goals. Provide relationship-based, culturally diverse care while maintaining evidence-based practice standards. Mentor staff and students, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and develop protocols to reduce re-admission rates. Perform other duties as assigned while complying with all Wellstar Health System policies and safety absolutes. Requires 5 years of RN experience and current certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cer or TNCC-P - Trauma Nurse Core Course - Provisional (18 Months) within 18 Months
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS-P90 - ACLS-Provisional (90 Days) within 90 Days or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience Required
- Ability to read, write and speak English language

- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
