Job Summary
Per-diem Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department/ER at a Medical Center in Selma, AL. Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced ED setting, rapidly assess and triage patients based on acuity, provide emergency nursing care including medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and cardiac monitoring, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to implement timely treatment plans, continuously monitor patient status, document changes, and educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care; schedule includes day shifts 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CDT with a 30-minute break; active Alabama RN license and 6 months RN experience required; credentialing and background checks apply.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license from the state of Alabama
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of RN work experience
- Technical Skills: Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support preferred)
- Credentialing Requirements: Clean background check, negative TB test results, annual physical, COVID-19 vaccination, and other requirements as specified by the facility or agency
