Job Summary
Per-diem Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department/ER role at a Medical Center in Selma, AL. Responsibilities include rapid triage and prioritization by acuity, direct emergency nursing care (medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, cardiac monitoring, trauma response), collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement timely treatment plans, continuous monitoring and documentation of patient status, and patient/family education on diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care. Schedule features day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CDT with a 30-minute break. Requires BSN, active Alabama RN license, minimum 6 months RN experience, CPR certification, and credentialing requirements (background check, TB test, annual physical, COVID-19 vaccination).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Active, unencumbered RN license from the state of Alabama
- Minimum of 6 months RN work experience
- Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support preferred)
- Clean background check
- Negative TB test results
- Annual physical
- COVID-19 vaccination
