Registered Nurse - ED Boarding

Job Summary
ED Boarding RN embedded in the Bloomington Emergency Department. Provides inpatient level of care to admitted patients awaiting bed placement, with potential to float to Acuity Adaptable units. Requires an ASN with RN licensure (IN or NLC) and BLS; BSN preferred; experience in acute care settings and familiarity with MedSurg/Tele/PCU environments. Familiarity with Patient Repositioner Technology and commitment to a patient-centered, collaborative team approach. Part or full-time opportunities available with sign-on bonus eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
