Job Summary
Evaluate patient conditions to prioritize care and implement life-saving interventions in a high-acuity environment. Carry out physician orders, monitor stability, and adapt care plans instantly as conditions evolve. Coordinate urgent diagnostic testing, facilitate admissions or discharge planning, and act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary trauma and emergency teams. Provide clear, empathetic education and support to patients and families navigating emergency visits. Maintain optimal department flow through precise task management and team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition 'Compact State' obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
