Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate, serving as the primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. This role requires a Licensed Registered Nurse with BLS certification and relevant advanced life support credentials. Schedule includes full-time three 12-hour shifts weekly, nights, and every other weekends. Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Trauma Nurse credentialed from the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA)
- Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Care credentialed from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN)
- Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Nursing Pediatrics
