Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to proactively resolve patient needs and coordinate family education throughout treatment. Demonstrate leadership by teaching and mentoring new colleagues, delegating tasks based on acuity and team expertise, and supporting performance appraisals. Utilize evidence-based practice to maintain quality and safety standards while performing validated technical skills and leveraging technology for care delivery. Maintain clinical competency and contribute to unit-based patient experience goals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
