Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care and direct patient assistance on the assigned ECC unit at Wharton Campus. Direct licensed vocational nurses and non-professional personnel in delivering patient care while supporting medical staff objectives. Maintain current Texas RN licensure and hold required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and strong communication skills. Requires one year of acute care clinical experience or equivalent EMT/Paramedic experience. Full-time day shift position with on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- One year acute care clinical nursing experience
- Equivalent EMT/Paramedic experience
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse
- Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
- Advance Cardiac Life Support
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (or ENPC)
- TNCC
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills
