Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care and direct patient assistance on the assigned unit, directing licensed vocational nurses and non-professional personnel. Support medical care under Medical Staff direction while demonstrating leadership and critical thinking skills. Maintain current Texas licensure and required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. Requires graduate nursing education, clinical experience, or EMT/Paramedic background. Full-time night shift at Jackson Street and Williams Way Campus. OakBend Medical Center is an independent hospital offering a No Wait ER, trauma center, and stroke program since 1950.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Clinical nursing experience OR equivalent EMT/Paramedic experience
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse
- Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
- Advance Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advance Life Support (or ENPC)
- TNCC
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
