Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care and direct patient assistance to patients on the assigned unit, offering direction to licensed vocational nurses and non-professional personnel. Support medical care under Medical Staff direction while demonstrating leadership ability and critical thinking skills. Maintain current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse and hold required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC, with updates required within specified months. Requires clinical nursing experience or equivalent EMT/Paramedic experience. Work nights at Jackson Street and Williams Way Campus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Clinical nursing experience OR equivalent EMT/Paramedic experience
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse
- Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
- Advance Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advance Life Support (or ENPC)
- TNCC
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
