Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care and direct patient assistance on the assigned unit at Jackson Street and Williams Way Campus. Direct licensed vocational nurses and non-professional personnel in delivering patient care while supporting medical staff objectives. Maintain current Texas licensure and hold required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. Demonstrate leadership ability and critical thinking skills to manage the shift. Requires graduate of an accredited nursing program with clinical experience or equivalent EMT/Paramedic background. Work full-time mid-shift hours at OakBend Medical Center's independent hospital campus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Clinical nursing experience
- Equivalent EMT/Paramedic experience
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse
- Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
- Advance Cardiac Life Support
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (or ENPC)
- TNCC
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
