Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care and direct patient assistance on the assigned unit, directing licensed vocational nurses and non-professional personnel. Support medical care under the direction of the Medical Staff while demonstrating leadership and critical thinking skills. Maintain current Texas licensure and required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. Requires a nursing program graduate with clinical experience or EMT/Paramedic background. Full-time mid-shift position at OakBend Medical Center's Jackson Street and Williams Way Campus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Clinical nursing experience
- EMT/Paramedic experience
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse
- Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
- Advance Cardiac Life Support
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (or ENPC)
- TNCC
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
