Job Summary
Administer first aid, medication, and specialized medical treatments such as trach care, oral suctioning, and catheterization for ill, medically fragile, or injured children. Follow record-keeping procedures for confidential student health records and execute emergency care plans for students with life-threatening or chronic conditions, including training unlicensed staff in their care. Work 6.5 days per year (121 days) from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, three days per week, with hours potentially varying based on district needs. This continuing position may require working in multiple locations depending on department and district requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington
- current First Aid/CPR/AED card
- training for HIV/AIDS procedures
- Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance
- Valid Washington State driver's license or evidence of mobility
- Proof of Immunization (if born 1/1/57 or later)
- I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act
- Completion of all district-required trainings within thirty (30) calendar days from hire date
