Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including age-appropriate admission and transfer evaluations, while obtaining family input and documenting findings accurately. Establish and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment data, physician orders, and evidence-based practices to achieve desired outcomes. Provide and document nursing interventions, administer medications, monitor IV fluids, and coordinate daily care through collaborative handoff communication reports. Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and implement appropriate actions or report variations to the physician and risk management. Provide specialized care for high-risk patients, manage pain, and ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Maintains current license and certifications
- Maintain up to date BLS and HI
- Annual TB Screening and Influenza vaccination
- Annual Ethics Training
- Annual Safety Training
- Required Information Security course
- Required Abuse & Neglect course
- Annual Blood Borne Pathogens training
- Coursework as assigned for .edu
- Annual competency
- Age/Population specific competency

- Demonstrates knowledge and skills of normal growth & development necessary to provide services to the age of the patient served by the department
